Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we have all knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. 1Corinthians 8:1 (KJV)
Only the knowledge they were having concerning things sacrificed to idols was that which could puff up. Don’t misuse this verse as a hammer to hit people who study the scriptures. The knowledge of that which puffed up was demonic and not to be used to describe the well studied and highly knowledgeable people in the church today.
Don’t take it out of it’s God intended context. In the early church in the first century they were partaking both of the Lordian Table and also the Table of Demons. Not all knowledge is THAT knowledge. Only the knowledge of these early demonic jewish practices which had no longer been fit for use with the advent of grace is being referred to here.
Thank You Father for food, clothing, and shelter. Thank You for the coming months of work, and thank You for Your grace. Thank You for the command to grow in the grace and the knowledge of Christ.
